Hurricane Sandy

The Salvation Army says it served 5.6 million hot meals to survivors and first responders following Hurricane Katrina in 2005.   Just imagine what the need is in the extensive and heavily populated area hit by Sandy.  While the winds were still howling, the Kentucky Colonels wrote a check for $30,000 to assist in the effort.

2012 Grants Awarded

Thanks to your generosity, the Kentucky Colonels awarded 162 charitable and educational grants last month.  Several of the grants are for feeding and clothing children.  Support was extended to several programs that care for abused children.  Programs providing care and treatment to both mentally and physically challenged children and adults also received grants.  We have a
