Colonels of Distinction
Every year the Kentucky Colonels recognize Colonels for their dedicated giving toward the Good Works Program:
Governor’s Council – Donations of $5,000 or more
Gold Service Circle Members – Donations of $2,500-$4,999
Silver Service Circle Members – Donations of $1,000-$2,499
Five Star Council Members – Donations of $500-$999
General’s Honor Guard – Donations of $200-$499
General’s Staff – Donations of $100-$199
These colonels can be found in the annual Colonels of Distinction, published by the Kentucky Colonels. Colonels listed in the this publication receive the Medal of Distinction for that year.
Legion of Merit
The Kentucky Colonels Legion of Merit is awarded for years of extraordinary deeds and distinguished service in support of the Kentucky Colonels and a generosity and spirit that provides a positive inspiration to all.

Legacy of Honor
Throughout the history of this organization, Kentucky Colonels have distinguished themselves by providing the financial means to assure the charitable works of the Good Works Program continue without end for the betterment of the Commonwealth and her citizens. Those Colonels who bequeathed $100,000 or more to provide planned giving or other substantial contribution to the Good Works Program are appointed to the level of Legacy of Honor.
