Kentucky Colonels - Day of Service Landscaping

Kentucky Colonels Day of Service
Saturday, October 1, 2022
9:00am - 12:00pm

The Honorable Order invites you and your family to participate in the Kentucky Colonels Day of Service on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

Through your contributions, the Kentucky Colonels Good Works Program granted $3.1 million in 2022 to 314 organizations across the Commonwealth that is positively impact almost 3.9 million Kentuckians.  As an organization of individuals who are dedicated to making an impact, we know that giving back means more than just giving monetarily; it also means volunteering.

With this in mind, we would like to invite you to the Kentucky Colonels Fall Day of Service. Once again, we will work with different grant recipients throughout the state. We welcome you to volunteer with your fellow Kentucky Colonels.

Service projects include:

  • SOS International (Louisville) – Colonels will sort, pack, build pallets, and stuff boxes.
  • Seven Counties Services (Louisville) – Colonels will clean the building’s perimeter and landscape in common areas.
  • Project Learn (Elizabethtown)  Colonels will paint and landscape.  Volunteers are encouraged to bring gardening supplies.
  • Fresh Start for Women (Owensboro) – Colonels will help with landscaping and yard clean up, interior and exterior painting, garage repair, and pressure washing.  Volunteers are welcome to bring landscaping equipment.
  • God’s Pantry Food Bank (Lexington) – Colonels will sort donations and build and fill food boxes.
  • Trees Lexington (Lexington) – Colonels will help with landscaping.  Volunteers should bring garden/work gloves and wear closed toe shoes.
